Two words I want out of your vocabulary.
Just.
Should.
'Just focus.'
'You should be able to handle this by now.'
'I should just be able to do this.'
These words do one thing: they turn a complicated neurological reality into a moral judgment.
They don't motivate. They build boxes that make you feel trapped and frustrated.
I call them the Never Words.
They’re important enough that I have a whole chapter dedicated to this.
The short version: replace 'I should' with 'I want to' and 'just do it' with 'what's the first step?'
That's not a word swap. That's a rewiring.
Which hits you harder — 'just' or 'should'? And who's voice does it come in?

I've been in front of crowds my whole career.
Not always in the way you'd expect.
I'm a nurse. A coach. A business owner.
I'm also a martial artist and amateur fighter.
Some of my battles have been invisible ones — the internal kind that people with ADHD know well.
Some have been in front of actual crowds.
Both taught me the same thing:
You don't win by trying to be something you're not.
You win by learning to move with your brain instead of against it.
What unexpected experience has shaped how you approach your work? I'm genuinely curious.

I have some news I have been sitting on.
First, I want you to tell me something though. What’s something you made or built that surprised you by existing? Drop it below.
There Is No Box! A Guide to Failing Into Thriving with ADHD is in the publication process!
I’m going to be honest: I didn’t enjoy writing it. I’m excited and incredibly happy I wrote it.
I’m not a person who loves the writing process. I’m a person who had something to say and refused to let that stop me.
Which, as it turns out, is exactly what the book taps into.
More coming over the next few weeks. A lot more.
There is no box. You pick your path. Let’s go.

Here we go!
I have some news. The book I’ve been working on for the last two years is real!
“There Is No Box! A Guide to Failing Into Thriving with ADHD” (working title) has been accepted by a publisher.
I have been sitting with this for a minute, trying to find the right words. Which is ironic, because I’ve spent the last two years focused entirely on finding the right words.
Here is what I know: I wrote this book because It’s what I wish I had known when I was younger. I needed someone to tell me that the box I was being stuffed into, by teachers, by systems, by the story I was telling myself about my own brain, was never real. It was always optional. I needed to hear it from someone that lived it.
Now it is going to be on actual shelves. In actual hands. Hopefully landing for the person who needed it at 16 and is 37 now and still carrying the same weight.
8 to 12 weeks from now, you can hold it.
More soon. A lot more soon.
There is no box. Let’s go.
Drop a comment with one word that describes how ADHD has made you feel about yourself. Let’s see what comes up.

To every ADHD nurse and nursing student reading this: I built this for you.
Nursing with ADHD is not just hard. It's a specific kind of exhausting that most people won't understand unless they've lived it. The charting. The sensory overload. The shift handoffs. The pressure to be present for everyone while your brain is running seventeen tabs at once.
You are not struggling because you're not cut out for this. You're struggling because you haven't had the right support.
That changes when you have a framework that actually fits your brain.
The 8DHD Group Cohort is an 8-week program designed for people who need structure, community, and evidence-based strategies that hold up in high-pressure environments. Bi-weekly virtual sessions. A small, real group. No fluff. We cover your ADHD profile, sleep, nutrition, mindfulness, accountability, and practical skills you can use the next day.
There's something that happens in a room full of people who get it. The shame drops. The isolation breaks. The work gets real.
And if you're a high-performing professional ready to go deeper, I have two 1:1 coaching spots open right now.
Weekly sessions. Fully personalized to your brain, your goals, and your life. We meet virtually or in person at The Pyramid Club in Center City Philadelphia. This is the highest-touch work I do, and it is built to create lasting change, not just a good week.
Either path starts the same way: a 20-minute discovery call.

You've thought about it.
Maybe more than once. Getting an ADHD coach. Doing something different. Actually getting support instead of just white-knuckling through another quarter.
And then life happened. You got busy. You told yourself you'd look into it later.
I get it. That's an ADHD move if I've ever seen one.
Here's the thing: later has a habit of becoming never. And you deserve better than never.
I have two 1:1 coaching spots open right now. If you've been on the fence, this is the nudge.
What 1:1 looks like: Weekly 60-minute sessions built entirely around your brain, your goals, and your ADHD profile. Evidence-based. Structured. Accountable. We meet virtually or in person at The Pyramid Club in Center City Philadelphia. Between sessions, you have assignments and check-ins. I follow up. That's part of how this works.
Not ready for 1:1? The 8DHD Group Cohort is where a lot of people start.
Eight weeks. Bi-weekly sessions. A small, intentional group of people who actually understand what you're dealing with. We cover your ADHD profile, sleep, nutrition, mindfulness, gamification, and real skills that hold up under pressure. It's structured. It's a community. It's not a webinar.
Nursing students and new nurses with ADHD: this one's especially for you. The group cohort was built to work in high-demand environments. You're already doing hard things. Let's make them more manageable.
The first step is a 20-minute discovery call. Come as you are.
