So many of us (me included) wait until our art/music is “perfect” to put it out into the world.

I have struggled with perfectionism my whole career.

But I have grown to realize that every part of the learning and performance process is beautiful. Lets re-write the script and celebrate it all.

So here is some very in-progress Rachmaninov with some pjs and my sweet puppy audience.

Feeling excited to be directing Opera Philadelphia’s first ever Community Voices Choir in partnership with Penn Hospital.

We will be spending the next few months leading a choir with some beautiful people who are experiencing memory loss and decline.

So many fascinating studies are proving that music can help us reclaim our memories and connection with people/places/senses/experiences we have forgotten about.

We’ll be spending time together connecting to our breath, harmonizing, dancing, sharing stories and most importantly singing together.
