New Groove

It's that time where we usually announce our next Mommy and Me Classes but we are on a short break for summer while Miss Kathy is out on maternity leave!

We've had a FABULOUS time with our young music makers this past year and we're just as ready as you to go down the shore (remember your SPF!)

Keep a look out for us this fall when we resume Mommy & Me! The fall schedule will be announced in August!

We are PREPPING our students for our June Recitals! Always a joyful time whether you're in Philly or Bucks as our students share what makes music so special to them.

All of our recitals are FREE for our performers and FREE for our audience members - so if you're a student working with us check your emails and sign up, and if you're interested in checking New Groove out to see if the New Vibe is right for you or your young musician, you are welcome to join us!

We LOVE celebrating our teachers - and this one isn't one to miss!

Miss Julia is one of our VIRTUAL teachers leading lessons in voice and piano!

Fun Facts About Julia:

1. I played clarinet and sang back up vocals in a Texas Country Rock Band 🎵🎸🎻
2. I am an avid outdoor enthusiast and enjoys endurance sports and weightlifting 🏋️🌳

Miss Julia is a mezzo soprano originally from Marquette, MI (she’s a Yooper!) and just recently relocated to Philadelphia. Julia earned both music education
and vocal performance degrees from Michigan State University and Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and has performed in opera, musical theatre, and folk/country. Julia loves teaching voice, choir, piano, acting, and early childhood music — she’s taught toddlers through adults in Michigan, Texas, and Boston, and is excited to add Philadelphia to the list! She believes in fostering a space that encourages each student to learn how to tell a story with their instrument (voice or piano!) and develop their own unique love for music.

We're gearing up for a new month of Mommy & Me!!!!

Our first class in April is THIS SATURDAY - so give yourself an Easter Treat and make some music with us!

Our Adult Student Open Mic Night at was another knockout hit! From flamenco to original pop hits our students performed the whole spectrum from ballad to bop. Truly one of our favorite events we host. Congrats to our performers and their continued growth! We can't wait to see you again this fall!

ONE WEEK!

Our Adult Students are in the final stages of prep for the spring Open Mic !!! One of our favorite events of the season, there's nothing like seeing artists step out of their shells and share amidst their peers. We're incredibly lucky to have such a supportive group!

Music is a beautiful way to express your emotions, any emotion you need it to be. I have taught piano for several years and teaching children brings me so much joy. I love giving children an outlet to show their emotions! It is something I hope brings them happiness and peace. "
