It has been awhile but we’re back! Getting ready for another round of MUSE-ical Tales starting soon. I wanted to share a really sweet testimonial from a 2nd grade teacher at William Cramp Elementary School 😭 The students were so intuitive and intelligent. It was a honor to be able to work with them especially on my passion project, MUSE-ical Tales.

“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything” -Plato

As a performer, teacher, and creative leader, my work focuses on enabling the creation and nurturing of relationships with communities of all kinds. Interacting with communities through performances with programs curated specifically for that audience and leading music education programs are two ways that I find meaning in my life.

MUSE-ical Tales is a music and literacy education program that I started in 2020 as a part of a class at the Curtis Institute of Music called, the Community Artist Program. Being in this class, taught me the basics of building a project from the ground up and the beauty behind building and connecting with different communities.

The program is for elementary-aged students designed to encourage a love of music, reading, and learning.

We have already reached over 150 students in the past 1.5 years in the cities of Camden, Philadelphia, and Detroit with partnerships with Musical Mentors Collaborative, Brilliant Detroit, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Detroit Harmony Program, Symphony in C, and the Curtis Institute of Music. The program will keep expanding in the cities of Philadelphia, Detroit, and Buffalo.
