I wrote this poem, created the video and mask to help children understand Covid-19.
I want to make it less scary, explain why we are wearing masks and social distancing.

Covey explains to children about COVID-19 to make it less scary, why we social distance and wear masks.
COVEY MUST RUN AND HIDE
Covey is making us run and hide
So we must fight this germ outside
We cannot catch him in a hat
But rather when we cough and chat
That’s why we stay 6 feet apart
And wash our hands and scrub real hard
Covey does not like us near
So we must make him shed some tears
To keep us all from getting sick
We must try to make him quit
When we go out we’ll wear a mask
So we can slow his spread at last
We will wipe him off the charts
But only if we do our part
Cause Covey does not have a heart!
Covey floats round in the air
And lands on us or on a chair
A handshake or a friendly hug
That’s all it takes to pass this bug
To find him now we have a test
He can’t hide and he can’t rest
We must do our part each day
To find a way to make him pay
To catch this virus off his guard
Our scientists are working hard
We must make him run and hide
And nevermore come near our lives
