This week’s tip from Covenant Training Academy…
If you are a virtual assistant or working remotely and responsible for paying the bills and managing accounts receivables and accounts payables for your clients, a great app to use is called Bill.com. I use it to upload vendor invoices, pay bills electronically, and receive payments. Your client receives the bill via email and/or text and approves the payment and your job is to hit the send button. Bill.com is a great app with two pricing versions – one for business and another for accounting firms. Not only will you love it but so will your clients.

This week’s tip from Covenant Training Academy…
What does it mean to be an exceptional Home Health Aide?
Is it knowing what your client’s needs are before they ask for it? Is it fostering a caring and compassionate attitude? Is it meeting them where they’re at, even if it means changing the way you do things?
It’s all the above and more!
Your role is to support your client. And while you may have a solid understanding of the technicalities of your job, there are probably things you could still learn. One skill is how to respond to the emotional needs of the client and their families or how to work with a client suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
That’s why I’ve created an online Home Health Aide course which includes:
Understand Home Health Aide Services
A Holistic Approach to Understanding Clients
Developing Personal Care and Basic Healthcare Skills
The course includes a workbook, videos to demonstrate procedures, and access to me and my nurse expert. Once you finish the course, you’ll even get a downloadable certificate of completion to add to your professional portfolio! For more information go to my website at ctserv.org

This week’s lesson from Covenant Training Academy…
Administrative Professionals and Virtual Assistants typically manage emails, calendars, and schedules for several executives. If you want a more organized way of managing all this content, you can use Outlook. Outlook offers a feature that allows you to attach multiple emails to one location. Adding several emails into Outlook keeps you from managing different email platforms which can drive you a bit crazy. To store multiple emails into Outlook you simply open the "File" menu, select "Account Settings", and then click "New", and add as many emails as you want. This feature allows you to stay organized, to save time, and will keep you sane.

This week’s tip from Covenant Training Academy…
Hello all, last week’s tip was on communication apps available to stay connected with your clients or the office staff. I covered “Slack” as a communication tool and promised that I would cover another one this week. The communication app I will cover this week is “Flocknote”. Flocknote is a messaging and information management tool that is used by churches. My church has services online because of COVID and uses Flocknote to communicate with members through mass emails and text messages. What I like about Flocknote is that communication can be sectioned out by ministry where each ministry can communicate with specific members, for example, the choir ministry. Also, Flocknote has a database management function to manage information on attendance, giving, etc. So, if you work at a church and need to communicate with your members more effectively, I recommend the Flocknote app.

This week’s tip from Covenant Training Academy…
In this remote world that we are working and living in today it is very important to keep the windows of communication open and flowing. One way to do that is with the ease of applications. There are several communication apps available, like Flock, Discord, Twist, and Slack. I will cover one this week and another next week. Slack is a communication app that is used to communicate and collaborate with office staff, teams, or clients. What I like about Slack is that I can set up separate chat rooms called “channels” to communicate with clients. I can also store any files or documents for a specific client in the “channel” allowing clients access. Slack is a great app with free and paid versions. So check it out.
