As an educator I found great joy in creating an environment where the day dream and reality were one in the same.

Where the daydreams were seeds worth nurturing and the fruits of those daydreams could be harvested in due time.

Today I celebrate 47 times around the sun ☀️

This past year has been one of intense transformation for me and those who know me, know, I am no stranger to change 🥰

The outward changes have been career, health diagnoses, the loss of my mother, moving to a new country 💫

When I moved across the pond I realized I not only had the opportunity to learn a new culture and language, I had the opportunity to learn a whole new me 💗

Of course as a growth minded person I expected to be up for the challenge.... NOPE, not how things unfolded, so much so fast, I couldn’t grasp anything that felt “OK.” 😳

But with the constant support of my closest family and friends I was able to keep moving forward slowly but surely 🌈

Each year before my birthday I have a tradition of reflecting on the past twelve months and considering what it is that I’ve learned , what it is that I will keep and what needs letting go of. This year was no different. I began my reflections without any judgement and this is what unfolded...

I discovered that all these rites of passage, all these seemingly difficult changes were treasures for me to discover what I am capable of, what I am made of 🌸

There were endless days spent grieving and weeping over what felt like so much loss but in the end it has revealed an inner strength I had no idea was within me 💪🏼

I want to spend this day of celebration in gratitude to those of you who have spent endless time and energy supporting me, caring for me, loving me and believing that during my darkest days I would one day see the light again. I bow to you, you know who you are and I hope you know how much you mean to me!

My birthday wish( although I haven’t blown out any candles yet) will be for this year to be filled with ease and peace and joy and with the deep love that only true friends and family can amplify 💗💗💗

So be it, so it is! 💫✨🌟
