Welcome to Reach Scholars Tutoring!

I believe in reaching students, not just teaching them. With 8+ years of tutoring and teaching experience in both mathematics, science, and literacy in various countries around the world, I've come to understand that any student can learn any subject. STEM courses do not need to be scary, they just need a different story teller. What I can provide is a learning environment for your student in which I incorporate their curiosities and interests with the material to keep them engaged.

I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with a Minor in Education at Duke University, and am currently enrolled in a Master’s Program through Miami University. I have 4 years of experience working as a science and math teacher for grades 6 through 12. I've also worked with a range of learning styles: from students with learning disabilities to honors and AP students. My one-on-one sessions can be in person and/or online, and will include access to my own lesson plans, worksheets, and supplemental resources for various mathematics and science subjects. I also have experience teaching children executive functioning/study skills, test-taking strategies, and SAT/ACT prep.
