Moving around the next ring of this blossom. The butterflies are a joy to quilt, the yellow fabric is very difficult to quilt—and has eaten a few of my needles today.

I finished the three purple connecting blossoms today and started my next blossom. This one has 30 six-inch hexagons in it, so it will keep me busy for a few days. The center is done—moving on to the snails!

Progress! The close-ups show the blossoms that have been quilted...and the final shot shows the whole quilt. I think I might be about a third of the way through this BIG project of hand quilting my hand pieced New Hexagon quilt.
