☀️ What a way for Lincoln Land ABATE to wrap up our high school Driver Education presentations for the year! Today’s stop was a scorcher, but these students showed up ready to learn — hand fans and all.

The Distress Bandanna motorcycle‑awareness theme bike made the perfect guest star as we talked about driving aware, choosing the right motorcycle safety gear, and why battery tenders/smart maintainers matter more than most riders realize.

We’re proud to keep pushing our safety‑education mission forward — empowering young drivers with the knowledge, confidence, and awareness they’ll carry long after graduation.

🏍️ Double Header Day! Motorcycle Safety Awareness with Our Teens. Representing Lincoln Land ABATE, we wrapped up our second presentation of the day with an energetic and engaged group of teens diving into motorcycle safety awareness. Their questions, focus, and enthusiasm made this session a standout.

Students learned how small choices behind the wheel make a big difference for riders. We talked about visibility, blind spots, and how quickly a motorcycle can disappear next to a larger vehicle. Their participation today showed just how committed they are to becoming safer, more aware drivers.

🚗 Teen Driver Safety Spotlight with the Distress Bandanna Program! Today’s Summer School presentation gave our teens a powerful set of real‑world safety skills — the kind that save lives on the road. Students learned how to stay focused behind the wheel, avoid distracted driving, recognize the dangers of drowsy driving, and why seat belts remain the simplest, strongest protection in every crash. We also walked through stranded motorist protocols, the importance of following Scott’s Law and the Move Over Law, and how to stay safe around downed power lines. Students watched the Ameren Illinois downed power line safety video and learned exactly what to do — and what not to do — if a vehicle ever comes into contact with live electrical lines.

Two engaging Distress Bandanna Teen Driver Safety presentations took place during summer school today! Students learned how to stay alert behind the wheel, follow Scott's Law, move over for emergency vehicles under the Move Over Law, and give space and move over for stranded motorists to help keep everyone safe. These lessons build confidence and reinforce the habits that protect young drivers, their passengers, and anyone stopped along the roadway.

Today’s class covered distracted and drowsy driving, the Move Over Law, how to stay safe around stranded motorists, medical emergencies, and why seatbelts matter more than anything else in the car. This class stayed engaged and really showed they’re ready to make safer choices behind the wheel.
