Meet Karlee Vincent, one of our new Community Education instructors, who will be teaching a course on how to write your very own memoir!

Karlee Vincent is an award-winning author, creative professional, and lifelong storyteller. She is the author of Pump or Bust: A New Mama’s Guide to Office Politics, Breast Health, and Pumping on the Road, and has spent her career working at the intersection of storytelling, creativity, technology, and community. With a background in English literature, linguistics, and art, Karlee believes everyone has a story worth telling. Her creative writing classes are designed to help students find their voice, explore their ideas, and—most importantly—have fun with the writing process.
Her essays have appeared in Scary Mommy, Tiny Beans and TODAY's Parenting Team. Karlee has also been a featured expert for articles published in SUCCESS Magazine, Care.com, WSJ, CNN, Ms. Magazine and has appeared on the Tamron Hall Show. Meet David G. Behrs, one of our new Community Education instructors, who will be teaching a course on “Life After Death”.

David G. Behrs holds a Ph.D. in counseling and student development from American University, a M.S. in counseling and student personnel from Shippensburg University, and a B.S. in history and social science from Elizabethtown College. (Elizabethtown College recently recognized Dr. Behrs with the Distinguished Alumni Award—Educate for Service for Professional Achievement in 2008.) Dr. Behrs is currently employed as an adjunct faculty member at Santa Rosa Junior College teaching in their Lifelong Learning division. Dr. Behrs was also employed as the Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management at San Francisco Theological Seminary. Prior to joining the seminary, Dr. Behrs served as the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management at Clarion University of Pennsylvania where he enabled a re-engineered enrollment management system that significantly increased both applications and deposits.

Dr. Behrs also served as the 15th president of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana. Prior to his tenure at SMWC, Dave served as both the associate provost for university initiatives and the vice president for student affairs and enrollment management at Dominican University. He has taught many courses at the undergraduate and graduate level in the Humanities, Business, and Counseling departments. Behrs brings over 40 years of higher education experience to Adult Education.
