Introducing: From The AlKitaab AlMuneer Vault. As many of you know, I have been running a personal Qur’an blog here on IG since 2018 where I post my musings as a Qur’an teacher and student. I met many of you wonderful sisters and brothers on that account before I even launched this one. I’ve been blessed to meet so many amazing female Qur’an teachers, and we all swap tips and thoughts on teaching this Noble subject.

I have decided earlier this month to transition to closing that account so I can put all my focus to creating content and products for Prime Learning Resources, and because I felt it was time to stop compartmentalizing my passions to my community.

InshaAllah, in an attempt to preserve some posts that I would like to share here, I will be posting “from the vault” periodically. These are reposts from my old account, and are my own words.

Everyone who followed me on .almuneer knows I love creating IG story quizzes, and so bi idhnillah I will be starting off the new year with a return of our Qur’an Mini Quizzes tomorrow afternoon!📊

I like to keep to my word, and will do my best to fulfill my promise to those who enjoyed my content on my Qur’an blog by creating similar content for this account, along with other topics I feel are relevant to Qur’an education.

It is such an insult that this country chose November to be Native American Heritage Month. It's a power move, to make the month that is centered around a holiday that celebrates the massacre of a native tribe the Native people's heritage month.

I've argued with many friends year after year on the issue of Thanksgiving. Many people were unaware of the true story of Thanksgiving and why it was made a national holiday. But many, even after discovering the truth, continue to celebrate such a horrible, bloody day.

"We just get together because the whole family has the day off", but why don't you question why your family doesn't feast on any other long weekend? Why *this* particular one?

"I don't celebrate I just like food", but that is the *entire point*. Thanksgiving is a *feast* the colonizers gathered for in celebration of the massacre of the Pequot people.

As this bit is especially for the Muslims: why would you want to partake in a sunnah (tradition) of the murdering colonizers? We struggle to follow the traditions of our beloved Prophet ﷺ but somehow don't find it difficult to see how celebrating Thanksgiving is not only a compromise of our religious principles, but that is just *morally wrong*. Period.

I don't know. I really struggle to understand why this is so difficult to grasp. It is NOT a harmless tradition. Listen to this man. Look at the pain in his eyes when he recalls the holocaust of his people. This is serious.

The whyte fragility and guilt has a lot of folks upset about anti-Zi0n!sts calling out the !sra3li regime and settlers for what they truly are. No one wants to be the villain in another person’s story, we get it. But !srael and all who support what it stands for are the villains here. Make no mistake.

Don’t cry about what happened to our grandparents in the Tulsa Massacre a century ago, or to our Native relatives in concentration camps just a few decades ago if you support the SAME THING happening to P4lest!nians today.

Stop quoting my brother Malcolm X if you have nothing to say about P4lestine. Stop posting about political prisoners like our sister Assata Shakur and anti-Apartheid activists like Nelson Mandela if you have nothing to say about P4lest!ne.

Your activism is severely DEFICIENT if you are silent on Indigenous sovereignty anywhere. Today, Pal3stine is on fire with weapons the American tax dollar pays for. Indigenous people of Palestine are homeless thanks to this fa$cist country equipping the !$raeli regime with weapons intended to eradicate their very existence.

your silence is affirmation of your support for !srael. The entire month of May passed us by and not ONE mention of P4lest!nians as you advocated for AAPI. PALESTINIANS ARE ASIAN TOO.

Where was the advocacy for Asian lives when P4lestinians were and are still currently being driven out of their ancestral homes and murdered senselessly by a whyte supr3macist military?

I am sorely disappointed yet not surprised. And I’ve waited and waited for what was once one of my favorite educator accounts on Instagram to say something—anything about P4lestine.

Silence. I’m no longer giving you the benefit of the doubt. You have made your stance crystal clear.

I am burning bridges this year just as I did last year when raci$ts made their anti-Blackness blatantly clear. I have no tolerance for folks who remain silent in the face of land theft, whyte supr3macy, and gen0cide.

First, I would like to apologize if I have mispronounced any of the tribal names mentioned in this land acknowledgment.

Second, I would like to reiterate to my Muslim community, to my Arab brothers and sisters, and to my Black brothers and sisters, that it is crucial for our liberation movements to not only include the local tribal Nations of the land we reside in, but to center them as well. We are all victims of the disease of racism, settler colonialism and imperialism, which are all products of whyte $upremacy.

We will continue to fight on our own personal fronts, but please keep in mind that we all face a common problem.

Whyte “Supr3m@cy” is the root cause of all our issues today. Decolonization is about uprooting the centuries of oppression and planting the seeds of healing love and harmony. And throughout it all we first and foremost submit to our Creator, Glory be to Allah.

After Allah, I am trusting my community to show up and speak out. Do not allow the plotting of those who seek to silence us to slow down your efforts in announcing your displeasure and anger over Palestine to the world.

Our Palestinian brothers like .taha and are telling us in very plain terms that this is what is working; the amplifying of the Palestinian struggle IS WORKING.

This Saturday inshaAllah (tomorrow) we are strongly standing in the heart of Teaneck Township to declare our support for Falasteen and loudly denounce the crimes of the whyte supr3maci$t, fascist Isra3li regime.

We will be at the Teaneck Municipal building, at the corner of Teaneck Rd and Cedar Lane. Give yourselves time to look for parking. Wear masks. Bring signs, megaphones, and your love for justice.

Happening THIS SATURDAY at 2 PM in front of TEANECK MUNCIPILATY BUILDING. Please show up. Please share this event even if you don't live in New Jersey.

I previously shared a flyer for a counterprotest that was planned for the Isra3li flag raising that was going to happen on Sunday. The flag raising has officially been postponed and the protest cancelled.

Supporters of Falasteen are holding this demonstration instead in the heart of Teaneck. Let's make it clear to this town that we are on the side of the Indigenous people of Palestine, and against the oppressive regime that seeks to ethnically cleanse them out of their ancestral land.

Show up at the corner of Teaneck Rd and Cedar Lane (Teaneck Municipality Building). Bring your megaphones and your signs. Tell your friends, your neighbors, and your fellow activists.

Somehow the colonizing apartheid state of Israel has convinced its population that Palestinian liberation = the annihilation of the Jewish people. Same tired trope of every oppressive regime.

The same state that is currently ehtnicamly cleansing Palestinians from their ancestral homes.

The same state that imprisons seven year olds for throwing rocks at fully armed soldiers.

The same state that deliberately shoots Palestinian men in the crotch to castrate and cripple them.

The same state that forcibly sterilizes Black Jews.

The same state that can get away with committing one human's rights violation after another with no fear of retaliation or accountability.

I can go on but y'all get the point.
