MEET THE CAST OF RENT!

JOSIAH LOHRER (Ensemble): Josiah is thrilled to be making their Peoria Players debut as part of the ensemble in RENT. A transplant to Peoria, Josiah has been doing theatre for 16 years with various companies around Central Illinois. Roles of note include Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar, Emmett in Legally Blonde, The Engineer in Miss Saigon, and Frankie in Forever Plaid. An ICC and Bradley graduate, they currently serve as the K-4 General Music teacher at Dr. Maude A. Sanders Primary School as well as a voice/piano/brass instructor at Kidder Music.

I am so proud of my summer Stomp kids, who performed a routine in Thursday that we built from scratch over the course of the summer.

These kids met once a week for thirty minutes, and did such a great job showing off what they’ve learned in such a short amount of time. Congrats to them on their first performance and a special shout out to Melissa Gonzales who made such fun shirts that really popped off the black-lit stage.

Fall enrollment is open now for Stomp, taught by myself Jojo's Music Room and hosted by Nitsch Theatre Arts NFP at the NTA Center for Creativity. A combination of unconventional percussion and step style dance, it’s great way to build musical skills, stay physically active, build breath support, and make new friends.

That’s a wrap on the NTA Kids in Film Summer Camp, and my last camp of summer break! Working with these kids and such good friends has been a joy. 💚

August 20th, 6:00-7:30
Ukuleles are provided for the experience or you can bring your own.

Elementary Percussion - K-5
August 22nd, 6:00-7:30

I love Saturdays! Saturdays are for voice lessons and I love working with my voice students. 🙂

There are still a couple of openings available on Saturdays, and I will schedule lessons on other days as I have openings in my summer teaching schedule.
