🚀 We’ve been in the Lab… and we’re back!

We’ve been a little quiet over here, but behind the scenes, we’ve been creating, mixing, painting, planning, and preparing for what’s next for Texture Lab. ✨

We’re so excited to introduce Texture Lab Sensory Fillers, available locally in Pensacola and for shipping nationwide! 📦

First up: our Space Sensory Mix 🌎🚀⭐

This mix was SO much fun to create, with layers of color, texture, and fun little details designed to inspire open-ended sensory play and big imaginations. And yes… some of those special pieces were hand-painted right here in the Lab. 🎨

This is just the beginning. Over the next week, we’ll be revealing more of our sensory filler collection, and we have so much in store for Texture Lab this year.

🦖 We had a dino-mite time at Outreach Behavior Support this week!

Our little paleontologists explored a prehistoric world through hands-on sensory play, fossil excavations, dinosaur eggs, play dough, and open-ended discovery. Every invitation to play was intentionally designed to support development while encouraging curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

Throughout the experience, children had opportunities to strengthen:

✨ Fine motor skills through scooping, grasping, squeezing, digging, and manipulating materials

✨ Bilateral coordination by using both hands together during exploration

✨ Sensory processing through a variety of natural textures and open-ended sensory experiences

✨ Problem-solving, visual discrimination, and attention as they searched for fossils, dinosaurs, and hidden treasures

✨ Imaginative play, communication, and social interaction while creating their own prehistoric adventures

At Texture Lab, we believe meaningful learning happens when children are free to explore, create, and play.

Over the past month, we’ve had the joy of creating several sensory rich play experiences, from themed setups and community events to a month long summer program at a local school.

Each experience was designed with purpose, giving children opportunities to explore texture, build fine motor skills, strengthen body awareness, support sensory processing, practice regulation, and engage in meaningful hands on play.

From scooping and pouring to movement based activities, body awareness games, digging, rolling, sorting, creating, and exploring, every setup is created to support learning through play.

Texture Lab is more than a sensory table.
It’s intentional, child led play with purpose.

So grateful to spend time with two classes at one of our local elementary schools! 🌿

Students explored hands-on sensory play while learning about nature, plants, and the world around them through digging, scooping, pouring, and imaginative exploration.
