About Me!
Anna Safko is a mezzo soprano who grew up in Pensacola, Florida. Anna received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Louisiana State University in the studio of Dr. Lori Bade. Anna began teaching individual voice students in Baton Rouge in 2021, while completing her studies at LSU. She has experience teaching both voice and piano lessons to students of many ages. During her time at LSU, she performed with many ensembles including the LSU A Capella Choir (former president), LSU Chamber Singers, Red Stick Riffs, LSU Wind Ensemble, LSU Musical Theatre Club, and the LSU Turner-Fischer Center for Opera. Outside of LSU, Anna has also performed with the BRACE New Music Choir, Opera Louisiane, Opera Southern, Opera Festival Di Roma, and Varna International. Anna has most recently performed the role of Carrie Pipperidge in the musical Carousel. Outside of performance and teaching, Anna has experience as a director, stage manager, and conductor. While growing up in Pensacola, Anna was a ten-year member of the Pensacola Children's Chorus.
