In 2008, archaeologists studying a 2,700 year old tomb in the Gobi Desert made an incredible discovery: Nearly 800 grams of carefully preserved (C)annab!s buried alongside a man believed to have been a shaman of the ancient Gushi culture.

You may know her as her beautiful & educational alter ego, Peach at the Reef, and if you've spent any time on our Emerald Gulf Coast, chances are you've seen one of her daily beach updates. What started as a simple passion project has quickly grown into a page and vibe that people look forward to every day!🌊🏝️🪸

Through sunshine, surf, and salty adventures, Portia shares the beauty of our coastline with a genuine love that shines through every post.

Whether she's paddle boarding, snorkeling the reefs, or giving us all a front row seat to her latest mermaid ocean adventures, she always reminds us why we love living where we do. Most recently, she even had an unforgettable encounter swimming alongside a shark, proving once again that she's always ready for whatever the sea brings her way! 🧜🏾‍♀️

Beyond her beach adventures, Portia has become such a special part of our KdK family. She's the kind of person who always shows up, supports others, and brings warm energy wherever she goes. She has the sweetest soul, a kind heart, and a way of making everyone feel welcome. 🫶

And let's not forget that she's the one who introduced KdK to the magic of savory s'mores. Those charcuterie inspired bonfire treats have become legendary around the firepit, and we have Portia to thank for that delicious tradition. 😋

🌧️💚 It may of rained a little on our parade last night, but it certainly didn’t dampen our spirits! 😍

With Fiesta 2026 now in the books, we’re proud to celebrate five years of parading with our community! While Krewe de Kannabis was founded during the challenges of 2020, our inaugural float didn’t make its full debut until May 2021, making this our fifth year rolling through the streets of Pensacola and sharing our mission.

Over the years, our organization has grown and evolved, but our purpose has remained the same: helping educate our community about cannab!s wellness, reducing stigma through responsible use, and advocating for legislation for informed & safe access for those who chose to benefit from medical cannab!s. We believe that education creates empowerment, and that open conversations help people make informed decisions about our health and wellness, and even harm reduction.

What makes our krewe extra special is that we’ve found a way to combine community, fun, celebration, and advocacy. Through parades, events, volunteer efforts, and outreach, we’ve connected with thousands of people while creating a welcoming space for education, support, networking, and understanding.
