We would love to hear your story for possible inclusion in an article being written how Latinas first entered a leadership role in the . We are interested in hearing if it was a nontraditional path i.e. no one else wanted to do the role, you had no experience but was put in a role or if it was traditional i.e. went to Bible School or Seminary, applied for a position, etc.

Some other things you can add are:
Were there intergenerational conflicts with your elders before/during leadership role?

Who was your greatest cheerleader before/during your leadership role?

How have other Latina women supported you in your role?

How have you prepared yourself for your role? Formal training i.e. seminary, special programs or informal training i.e. reading books, attending conferences, etc.

How did you see Latinas Lead before you stepped out to lead?

If you saw Latinas Lead was that the confidence booster you needed to do the same?

Thank you for any input you can provide!

Local SoFlo Latinas...you are invited!

Don't miss our last show of the year! We will be dedicating this show to Breast Cancer Awareness and raising funds for an area nonprofit to be announced this week!

We have been personally impacted by this disease. Thankfully our loved ones survived.

Did you know? One woman will die of breast cancer every 13 minutes in the US. Every 19 seconds, someone in the world is diagnosed with breast cancer. A man's lifetime risk of breast cancer is about 1 in 1,000.

Doctoras Unidas was created as a way to bring mujeres in higher education together. I wanted to create a space where we can support one another’s work, support one another’s hustle as well, find resources that will contribute to our professional and academic goals.

Together we can conquer anything and together we are stronger. Please feel free to navigate the site and contact me if you would like to be profiled, share your academic work and/or a social event on the site.
