Former Ray-Pec teacher Matt Copeland stopped by the Ninth Grade Center to donate calculators, dry erase markers, and erasers on behalf of Kevin Rogers, CEO of StructSure Projects. Kevin is a 1991 graduate of Ray-Pec and had 4 kids go through our district.

All incoming freshmen are invited to the Ninth Grade Center Preview Day this Friday, August 21 from 7:25am-9:55am. Students will meet in the gym for an assembly and then get the opportunity to walk through their schedules. NGC staff is excited to see the Class of 2030 on Friday!

Another successful round of Grilled Cheese Wars in Mr. Andersonā€™s Culinary Essentials! Congratulations goes to our groups who impressed the judges enough to take home the trophy!

Last weekā€™s 16th Annual Teacher-Student Trap Shooting event as part of Teacher Appreciation week was one for the books! Mr. Conley from the NGC had the honor of shooting with the same student for the past four years. RPHS senior, Owen Linn and Mr. Conley went out with a bang for Owen's last season.

After a perfect 25/25 round, they found themselves in a high-stakes shoot-off against the Trap Shooting Club Coach, Nick Tebbee and junior Zach Sykes to determine the winner! While they finally missed after several rounds in the tense showdown, the competitive spirit and camaraderie always make the event an unforgettable day.

Mr. Conley noted how good of a student Owen was when he had him in class and how much of a pleasure it's been to see him grow through high school in and outside of the classroom. Owen Linn plans to attend the University of Missouri in the fall and study engineering.
