Popcorn Ordering Update! 🍿❕

Moving forward with popcorn sales, our order form will include drop-down menus with all Zavala teachers and their grade levels to make ordering easier.
If you are ordering popcorn for multiple students (siblings) at Zavala, you will need to complete a separate transaction for each student.

If you would prefer not to complete multiple transactions, you may place all popcorn bags under one responsible sibling, and they can take the bags home for the family.

Thank you for helping us keep popcorn orders organized and make sure every student gets their order! 🦅

🎬 Eureka: Round 2, Here We Come! 💡

Our 4th grade inventors have officially completed 7 episodes and earned their team wedges! 🏆 Their latest challenge? Creating an invention to help the judges throw away trash without having to get up.

Now they’re moving on to Round 2, where they’ll use the skills they’ve learned to create their own inventions! Their wedges represent important inventor skills: research, knowledge, pitching, documentation, collaboration, and failure.

Be on the lookout to see what our future inventors create next!!

Our second graders in Ms. M. Rodriguez’s class had a blast exploring changes in physical properties with a colorful Skittles science experiment! Students made observations, described what they noticed before and after adding water, and watched as the colors began to dissolve and spread.
We love seeing our students learning and having fun with science! 🦅🌈

It’s a GREAT day to be an Eagle! 🦅

A HUGE thank you to our amazing tennis and swim teams for spending time with our students this week! 💜💛

🎾 Yesterday morning, our tennis team helped start the day by opening doors and welcoming our students as they arrived at school. What a special way to begin the morning!

🏊‍♀️ Today, our swim team joined our students during lunch, creating connections, sharing smiles, and making their day a little more special.

We are so grateful for the ways our student-athletes are giving back and helping make our school community stronger. Thank you for being positive role models and showing our students what it means to serve, connect, and make a difference! 🫶🏼✨

And remember, Zavala LOVES YOU!
