Today, Pearland ISD recognized substitute teachers who served 100 days or more during the school year with a delicious breakfast and certificates honoring their dedication to excellence. We are especially proud to celebrate one of our very own Shadycrest Owls, Ms. Lisa Campo! 🦉💙
Ms. Campo shows up day in and day out with a heart full of love and support for our students, staff, and families. Her kindness, flexibility, and unwavering dedication make a difference in countless ways across our campus. Thank you, Ms. Campo, for all you do for the Shadycrest community — we are so lucky to have you as part of our Owl family!

Our Rockin' 4th grade Owls had their walk to the park activities yesterday. It was a special way to celebrate their last year in elementary school. Thank you to the teachers and parents that helped make this day memorable for these students!

Monday was a very special day at Shadycrest Elementary as we welcomed back the graduating Class of 2026 to the halls where so many of their journeys first began. These seniors returned to their old stomping grounds proudly wearing their caps and gowns, walking the same halls they once walked as little owls with big dreams.

Our graduating seniors shared with our current Owls “who” they are becoming and where their next chapters will take them: college campuses, careers, military service, and exciting new opportunities ahead. Their smiles, accomplishments, and stories filled our building with pride, inspiration, and hope for the future.

To our seniors: thank you for coming home to Shadycrest and reminding our students that hard work, character, perseverance, and kindness can take you anywhere. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you and cannot wait to see all the amazing things you will accomplish next.

Before our students run out of the building for summer, let’s take a moment to celebrate the Shadycrest Track Team! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💙

On April 23, our incredible 3rd and 4th grade students represented Shadycrest at the district-wide track tournament with determination, sportsmanship, and true Owl pride. They ran hard, cheered loudly, and gave their absolute best in every event!

This post may have taken the scenic route to the finish line thanks to the whirlwind of end-of-year fun, but these athletes deserved their victory lap!

A huge thank you to Coach Norman and Coach Branstetter for helping prepare our students to run their best and soar to new heights. Your dedication, encouragement, and support made such an impact on our team!!!!

As this school year comes to a close, we’re filled with gratitude and pride for all that’s been accomplished. From first-day nerves to last-day celebrations, our students have grown, learned, and created memories that will last a lifetime.

🎉🦉 What a SWEET way to celebrate our Shadycrest Rockstar Owls! 🦉🎉

This past Friday, we wrapped up the year by celebrating our students who achieved Perfect Attendance ALL YEAR LONG! 🌟
These dedicated Owls showed up every single day ready to learn, grow, and shine — and we could not be more proud!!!

A huge THANK YOU to the Pearland Lady Lions Club for graciously helping us make this celebration extra special!

Students enjoyed pizza, chips, and a fully stocked ice cream sundae bar while spending time with friends making unforgettable memories. Music filled the air, bubbles floated everywhere, and our sidewalks became colorful masterpieces with chalk art fun!!!

Students also loved learning about the many ways the Lions Club serves and supports the community!!

🌟🎤 Our Shadycrest 4th Grade Talent Show was a huge success! ⭐️🎉

We are so proud of the many students who bravely shared their talents with us, including comedy routines, guitar and piano solos, dance performances, learning new languages, and so much more!

A special shoutout to our fabulous student hosts for keeping the show fun and engaging from start to finish. Our Owls truly shined on stage! 💙🦉

After more than 21 years of inspiring students, building confidence, and creating a love for movement and teamwork, we had the honor of celebrating Coach Norman this past Wednesday with both her personal family and her Shadycrest family! 💙🦉

Coach Norman has opened young hearts and minds to the joy of physical education while teaching lessons that reached far beyond the gym walls — perseverance, sportsmanship, healthy habits, encouragement, and the importance of believing in yourself! Her energy, kindness, and dedication have impacted generations of Shadycrest and Pearland ISD students.

Coach Norman, thank you for every high five, every word of encouragement, every game, every laugh, and every moment you poured into our students and staff over the years! Your impact will continue long after the final whistle blows!
