🏗️ CAREERS IN DESIGN—UP CLOSE!

Today, Pea Ridge students stepped inside the world of architecture and design at BUF Studio in Bentonville, hearing from recent University of Arkansas architecture graduates and seeing how their work becomes real projects, including Andy’s Frozen Custard locations!

Bonus stop: BRR Architecture, one of our ACE partners, was right next door. Two great career experiences in one trip! 🙌

🚔 CAREER EXPLORATION — UP CLOSE!
What happens when you take students who have shown strengths and interests in law enforcement and give them the opportunity to experience that career firsthand? You get a pretty incredible day! 👮‍♂️🚓
This week, 15 Pea Ridge students visited the Rogers Police Department for a behind-the-scenes look at careers in law enforcement.
Students learned what it takes to become a police officer, heard about a day in the life, toured the department, checked out the SWAT vehicle, and got an inside look at the 911 dispatch center.
And this was REALLY cool… 👀 One student was given permission to call 911, allowing the group to watch in real time as the call entered the system and was routed to the appropriate first responders. 📞➡️🚨
These are the experiences we want for our students—opportunities to move beyond simply talking about careers and actually see them, experience them, and picture themselves in them.
A HUGE thank you to the Rogers Police Department for opening your doors to our students and giving them such an authentic experience. ❤️🖤
And a special thank you to the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce and Jeremy Biggs for helping plan and coordinate this opportunity for our students. Partnerships like these are what make real-world career exploration possible!

❤️🖤 A FIRST FOR PEA RIDGE HIGH SCHOOL! 🖤❤️
Our seniors just completed our first-ever ACT WorkKeys Prep Week! 🎉
Students spent the week building skills in:
📐 Applied Math
📊 Graphic Literacy
📄 Workplace Documents
They learned from PRHS teachers, took practice assessments, set goals, tackled real-world crew challenges, and competed for the top spot on our leaderboard! 🏆
Even better, our industry partners helped answer the question, “When will I actually use this?”
👏 Thank you to Flintco, Noble Gibbens & Brandon Passmore with Kiefer Sage, and Carissa Cummings with Signature Bank for showing our students how these skills are used in the workplace.
❤️ And a huge thank-you to Mr. Fingerhut, Mr. Carreira, Ms. Gilbert, and Ms. Rooney for preparing and encouraging our seniors all week!
We finished by celebrating our Crew Challenge champions and students who scored Platinum on all three practice assessments! 🏆🎉
We are incredibly proud of our seniors for showing up, working hard, and investing in their futures.

🎨 Seeing Crystal Bridges Through a Different Lens

Today, PRHS AP Art students, students interested in art-related careers, and Ms. Webb visited Crystal Bridges—and experienced the museum from a whole new perspective!

Students enjoyed the incredible artwork and architecture, but this trip went beyond what hangs on the walls. They learned about the many careers behind Crystal Bridges—including graphic design, communications, library and research services, interviewing and researching artists, engineering, architecture, construction, and more.

It was a great reminder that a love of art can lead to so many different career paths, including some our students may have never considered before.

A huge thank you to Rogers/Lowell Chamber and Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art for helping our students connect their interests and talents to future possibilities. ❤️🖤

Sometimes career exploration is simply seeing a familiar place through a new lens.

🏗️ Career exploration looks a little different when you step outside the classroom!

Today, students from Pea Ridge and Rogers traded the classroom for hard hats and an active construction site during an industry tour with Buffalo Builders through the Rogers-Lowell Chamber K2J program.

And Buffalo Builders gave them the real deal—the good, the bad, and the ugly of working in the construction industry. Students learned about different careers, toured projects in multiple stages of construction, heard what employers look for in their employees, and got to ask questions of the people who do this work every day.

One message came through loud and clear: the things your teachers are asking you to learn now really do show up on the job. Communication, math, problem-solving, showing up, listening, and being willing to learn all matter.

These are the experiences that help students connect what they are learning today with where it can take them tomorrow.

🎓💼 WE’RE CHANGING THINGS UP!

This year, Pea Ridge is taking our College & Career Fair and turning it into two separate experiences for students!

🎓 College & Postsecondary Fair — November 9, 2026
💼 Career & Workforce Expo — April 5, 2027

Why the change? Because college exploration and career exploration both deserve more than a few minutes at a crowded event.

By separating the two, students will have more time to ask questions, make connections, explore opportunities, and really think about what comes next.

Our goal isn't for every student to choose the same path. It's to make sure every student knows the paths available to them. ❤️🖤

Today was a big day at Pea Ridge High School! Every PRHS student officially began Leader in Me as part of our Student Success Mondays.

Throughout the year, students will work through FranklinCovey’s 7 Habits while developing skills that go far beyond the classroom: taking ownership, setting goals, communicating effectively, building strong relationships, working with others, and making intentional choices about their futures.

And that’s exactly why Leader in Me belongs in College, Career & Community Readiness.

Whether a student’s next step is college, career, military, technical training, or another path, these are skills they’ll take with them wherever they go.

Today was just the beginning. 🌱

🏗️ ACE IS BACK AT PEA RIDGE!

Does your student enjoy designing, building, creating, problem-solving, or simply wondering how things work?

The ACE Mentor Program of Arkansas gives Pea Ridge students the opportunity to explore careers in Architecture, Construction & Engineering while learning directly from professionals working in these fields.

And here's the important part: students don't have to know exactly what they want to do after high school. That's what opportunities like ACE are for: exploring possibilities, discovering new interests, and making connections along the way.

Through ACE, students can gain exposure to:
