Thank you for all of your comments, messages, thoughts, prayers and hugs! Lola was definitely a very big part of our lives. The house is very quiet and empty right now. I will share one more picture of our sweet Lola then get back to cookies and cakes and all the things Lola wanted to eat but mummy wouldn't let her. This is from her first Christmas.

I usually try to keep this page all about the cookies and treats that I bake. Today I'm going to share something a little personal. Yesterday, just a few days after her 17th birthday, we had to say goodbye to our beautiful, sweet Lola. She was the boss of the house and my business manager. This little lady was everything to us. This house is too quiet now. 17 years was just not long enough.

If you picked up an order during the past few days, you probably saw me cry and saw my husband cry. Thank you for your patience and kindness during this very hard week.

Today is National Homemade Cookie Day.

I like to refer to it as National Little Works of Edible Art Day. 😁

I'm very fortunate to be able to work from home (under the cottage bakery laws) and do something that I truly love.
