Last night, I had the distinct honor of joining families, educators, administrators, and community members at the Passaic High School and Academies Awards Ceremony to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students.
On behalf of the Passaic Board of Education, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to each scholar recognized this evening. Your dedication, perseverance, leadership, and commitment to excellence have earned you this special recognition, and we are incredibly proud of all that you have accomplished.
As I looked across the room, I saw more than award recipients—I saw future educators, entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, engineers, public servants, and changemakers who will help shape our community and our world.
Thank you to the parents, guardians, teachers, counselors, and staff whose unwavering support helps make student success possible. This celebration is a testament to the power of partnership, hard work, and belief in our young people.
Congratulations to all of our award recipients. Continue striving, continue leading, and continue pursuing your dreams. The future is bright because of you!

Today, I officially received my business cards as a newly elected Commissioner for the Passaic Board of Education. While they may seem like a small item, to me they represent a tremendous responsibility, a commitment to service, and the trust that the residents of Passaic have placed in me.
Every card serves as a reminder that leadership is about being accessible, accountable, and connected to the community we serve. I am honored to have the opportunity to advocate for our students, support our educators, and work alongside my fellow commissioners to strengthen educational opportunities for every child in Passaic.
This moment is not just about a title—it’s about purpose. I look forward to listening, learning, and leading with integrity as we work together to build a brighter future for our schools and our city.
Thank you to everyone who supported this journey. The work continues, and I am ready to serve.

3 hours to vote!!!!!!
Being a part of two elections this year has given me an even deeper appreciation for EVERY single vote.
Whether serving as a candidate or participating in the democratic process, I have witnessed firsthand that every vote truly matters. Behind each ballot is a voice, a perspective, and a person who believes in shaping the future of their community.
This experience has reinforced the importance of civic engagement and reminded me that change happens when people show up, stay informed, and make their voices heard. No vote is too small, no election is insignificant, and no community thrives without participation.
Today, I am grateful for everyone who took the time to cast a ballot, support a candidate, volunteer, or encourage others to engage in the process.
Democracy works best when we all do our part.
Every vote. Every voice. Every opportunity to make a difference.

This week, I had the pleasure of attending the Latinas in STEM event hosted by Barbie at School 22, under the outstanding leadership of Principal Dr. Tiffany K. Crockett.
It was inspiring to witness young scholars engaging in hands-on STEM learning as they designed and created their own telescopes while exploring the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Experiences like these spark curiosity, build confidence, and help students envision themselves as future scientists, engineers, innovators, and leaders.
STEM education is more than learning concepts in a classroom—it develops critical thinking, problem-solving skills, creativity, and innovation. By exposing students to STEM opportunities at an early age, we are helping to prepare the next generation to tackle complex challenges and thrive in an ever-evolving world.
A special thank you to everyone who made this event possible and for creating a space where young Latinas can see themselves represented and empowered in STEM fields. The future is bright when we invest in our children, nurture their talents, and encourage them to dream beyond the stars.

This week we proudly celebrated the 61st Birthday of Head Start and honored the incredible staff who continue to change lives every single day. ❤️
Through United Passaic Organization, I was honored that our agency could provide lunch for the dedicated Head Start team in celebration of Community Action Month — a time to recognize the impact Community Action Agencies have in empowering families and strengthening communities.
Community Action is about helping individuals and families move from crisis to stability and from stability to self-sufficiency through education, advocacy, resources, and opportunity. Programs like Head Start are at the heart of that mission.
This celebration was especially meaningful to me because I am a product of Head Start education myself. Head Start helped build the foundation for my educational journey, leadership development, and commitment to service. To now lead a Community Action Agency that continues this important work is truly a full-circle moment.
For 61 years, Head Start has been opening doors, inspiring young minds, and investing in the future of our children and families. Thank you to every teacher, family worker, administrator, and staff member who pours love and dedication into this work each day.
Happy 61st Birthday, Head Start! 🎉
