UPDATE: The Sandy Fire in Simi Valley has now burned nearly 1,700 acres with thousands of residents still under evacuation orders and warnings.
Fire crews continue working around the clock as strong winds, dry conditions, and difficult terrain challenge containment efforts.
Smoke impacts are also being felt across parts of Los Angeles County, reminding many Southern California communities how quickly conditions can change.
We’ll continue sharing updates, emergency resources, and recovery information as more becomes available. 🧡

Community turnout matters!
Public testimony at this hearing is critical to advancing AB 1847 and improving access to mortgage relief for fire survivors.
Last year, AB 238 helped homeowners impacted by the LA wildfires by providing temporary mortgage forbearance and important protections like no lump-sum repayment and credit protection.
Now, AB 1847 aims to extend those protections for two more years.
