Well done to our Middle and High School Bands on a fantastic Spring Concert this week! It has been such a fun year and so rewarding to see how far our students have come since the beginning of the year- and to have watched our seniors grow!
The concert featured 7th Grade and 8th grade bands as well as Jazz Band, Concert Band, and Wind Ensemble. We also had a special piano performance by a Saxophone Quartet featuring Elijah Frizzell (Soprano Saxophone), Mrs. Turon (Alto Saxophone), Miss Gilbert (Tenor Saxophone), and Emmett Kinnison (Baritone Saxophone). Congratulations!
Noah McAdams served as our Student Conductor this year, and he conducted “The Star Wars Saga” arranged by Michael Story. Such a fun piece bringing all of our favorite Star Wars melodies to life. This was also our final concert with Miss Gilbert, as she conducted various pieces with 8th Grade Band, Jazz Band, Concert Band, and Wind Ensemble. Congratulations!
Lastly, THANK YOU to our 16 amazing seniors for all of your work, passion, and dedication to our program. You are all incredibly talented, we cannot wait to see what you accomplish in your futures. Our last piece on the stage was “Chasing Crimson” by Dakota Pederson. The piece depicts the deep, burning emotion of the color red- which accurately represents our graduating seniors and their intense passions they carry. Best of luck to our seniors!
Congratulations to all! Graduation loading 💙🤍

Incredibly proud of these 4 band students for graduating in the Top Ten of their class. Not only did they excel musically, but they also proved that they can succeed academically at a high level. Research always shows that students involved in music will perform higher academically, and these four are evidence of that. Congratulations to our band seniors Brooke Taylor, Elijah Frizzell, and Sarah Johansen. We’d also like to give a congratulations to Thomas Fitton, who was involved in band until senior year. Way to represent yourself, your school, and Chillicothe Bands! 💙
Music makes you smarter!
