Kindness in action from our youngest Ravens 💙

Our kindergarten students, along with parent helpers, assembled care baskets for families served by Ronald McDonald House Charities. The baskets included eggs, flowers, herbs, and fruit from the Waverly Farm, as well as handmade cards created by the students.

Thank you to our volunteers and our kindergarten service learners for leading this inspiring project and sharing care and compassion with families in our wider community.

What a night! ✨🎶

Thank you to everyone who joined us last weekend for Rave-ON: Raven Relief, Waverly’s spring fundraiser and dance party. From the incredible music by DJ ZOF and delicious tacos from Tacos Casa to the amazing auction and raffle prizes, the evening was filled with joy, connection, and community spirit.

Most importantly, thanks to the generosity of our Waverly community, funds raised from the event will support the Waverly Disaster Relief Fund and help families impacted by the Eaton Fire and other hardships.

A huge thank you to our event chairs, volunteers, donors, performers, staff, and every parent, guardian, alum, and friend who made the evening possible. We are so grateful for this community and all it does to support one another. 💙🖐️

May 1 marked College Decision Day, and we couldn’t be prouder of our seniors! 🎓

At Friday’s assembly, students were celebrated with lawn signs recognizing their next steps and all they’ve accomplished along the way.

Congratulations to the Waverly Class of 2026—we can’t wait to see where your journeys take you!

Waverly Middle School arts students closed out the year with an inspiring final showcase! The event featured an original play, a student-created film, and live performances from our talented musicians, led by their teacher Garrett.

The celebration continues with our visual artists, whose work will be on display (and available for purchase!) at Jones Coffee Roastery on May 9 from 1–3 p.m. Stop by for a cup of coffee, enjoy incredible student artwork, and hear a special musical performance by our high school students.

We hope to see you there!

It’s the end of the school year—and prom season is here! ✨

Our outstanding student leaders on the prom committee brought the night to life, from researching venues to creating the theme and, alongside teacher chaperones, transforming the space into something truly special. Their creativity, leadership, and attention to detail made for an unforgettable evening for our high school students.

A huge thank you to our student leadership team and our Director of Student Life Ricco for guiding and supporting this incredible event.

Waverly’s 1st/2nd grade classes spent the day making a difference with a beach clean-up at Santa Monica Beach. As part of their journey, students rode the Los Angeles Metro—reducing emissions and learning how small choices can support a healthier planet.

With the help of dedicated parent chaperones, our young changemakers worked together to leave the beach a little cleaner than they found it. 🌎

As our fifth and sixth graders—and their chaperones—immerse themselves in the beauty of Yosemite, today they also shared a reading of The Lorax, reflecting on its timeless message: “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”

From the forests of Yosemite to our broader community, The Waverly School wishes everyone a Happy Earth Day! 🌍

On Friday, Waverly’s Middle and High School came together to celebrate Jewish Heritage Month and Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month through a dynamic, student-led afternoon.

Students took the lead in teaching one another about Asian American history, influential figures in art and sports, Jewish customs and traditional games, and even the vibrant world of Bollywood dance and film. The energy, curiosity, and collaboration on display reflected the spirit of learning from one another and honoring the many stories within our community.

A special thank you to our families who provided food for the celebration, and to our student leaders for elevating this event and making it truly memorable.

From preschool to 12th grade, relationships are at the heart of the Waverly experience—built on trust, understanding, and mutual respect.

Earlier this week, our students came together on the Elementary School campus for a joyful Buddy Program gathering centered on this year’s theme: “Many Stories, One Community.” Through shared moments of play, music, and creative expression, buddies across all three divisions deepened their connections and learned more about one another.

These cross-grade relationships don’t just create fun memories—they strengthen the fabric of our community in meaningful, lasting ways.
