Hi Art Devotionals community! I'm working on a new book for 2018 specifically for kids in the 4-10 age group. It will be a series of books broken up into different themes to help them grow in the Lord. What themes do you think are most important for kids to know? And in which order?

Looking in the mirror is something I don’t really like to do. Because oftentimes, when I look into the mirror I don’t know if what I see is truly a reflection of who I am or is it just based off of how I'm feeling. Even worse, I'll find myself comparing what I look like to other people.

The mind is a powerful thing and it can really distort how we view ourselves. Especially when we feed our mind with negative thoughts and let popular media control how we should look in order to feel appreciated. Oftentimes, this is a FALSE image of what beauty truly is.

I don't avoid looking in the mirror, but now when I do, I ask God to reveal the TRUE image of who I am. Therefore when I see my myself, I know that I am not seeing a distorted image, but I am seeing a CLEAR image of who God created me as.

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created Him; male and female He created them” Genesis 1:27.

One of the coolest things so far with this journey has been visiting different youth groups and creating art devotionals with them. To share with them my testimony, artwork, and teach them how to use creativity as a means of worship is a wonderful blessing for me! These kids inspire me with the amount of creativity they have, please pray that they use it to glorify God!
