Incoming 7th graders, you may need to keep a log for your Beanstack points until the start of school. If it is allowing you to upload pages, you are good to go! This week's challenge is a Scavenger Hunt! As you complete each item, take a picture to document it. Once you are ready to submit, feel free to submit pictures or a collage but you can also get creative with it. For example, turn it into an epic movie or a slide show to share with others. Remember, the challenges last all summer and prizes will be handed out at the start of school. Pages submitted in Beanstack count toward the challenge.

This week's mini challenge is one that will gain you points throughout the entire challenge. Introducing out Flat "Stanley"! Design your own and take it on your summer adventures with you! You will get 2 points for every unique picture you submit each week, with an overall 10 point limit. I have copies available on campus every Monday in June,10am - 12pm, but you are welcome to print out your own - check out the link below. Use the submission link below to turn your pictures in. The first pop up challenge is one of Ms. Hermes' favorite library activites: Guess How Many?!! In this case, you will be guessing how many jewels are in this cup. Person closest to the answer will receive a bag of candy.

October is Cyberbullying Awareness Month. Cyberbullying can happen anywhere online and anyway - from a mean comment on a picture to a private message. Learn to recognize the signs! If you feel you are being cyberbullying reach out to a trusted adult for help. Anonymous Alerts is also available 24/7 via online and in app form.

Today is Tech Tuesday! Remember when sending an e-mail, you need to use more formal language.
Instead of saying:
"Yo Ms. Hermes, Will the library be open 2day? Im rdy 4 a new book rn."
Change it to: "Hello Ms. Hermes,
Will the library be open today during 5th period? I have finished my book and I would like to check out a new one.
Thank you, Katie"
