With the onset of COVID-19, many programs for kids had to shut down in-person activities. It can be difficult to find activities to get kids out of the house and engaged. Here's a list of resources and programs for kids and families.

Pasadena Humane has reopened their in-person programs for children. They offer animal welfare, shelter work, crafts and games geared towards animals alongside supervised animal interaction.

City of Pasadena Parks and Rec lists programs available for youth and their families. This includes learning, family support, and services for youth, young adults, and families.

Activityhero is a location-based search engine that provides summer camps and classes for kids. The results are broken up into the following categories: in-person, live online, and on-demand.

Parents, your child's education is vital to their development. Will they be ready for college? Are they getting everything they need out of myself and school? These are just some of the questions we ask ourselves as we watch our children grow up. These educational resources are designed to solve these issues:

~Rolled Roses Kids Craft~
MATERIALS:
- Paper
- Pencils or pens
- Scissors
- Optional glue for binding

While any paper can be used to roll roses, cardstock or construction make for the highest quality.

Draw a spiral starting at the edge of the paper, going towards the inside. More space between the lines makes taller rose petals; less space makes rosebuds.

Cut along the line until you have one long curl of paper.

With a pencil or pen, curl the inner end of the spiral around the stick. The paper should be wound securely, but the tightness is up to you.

Once the whole spiral is wound around the object, you can remove it. You will now have a rose that can stand on its own. If it’s made with a more flimsy paper, use glue to keep it in place.

Now you and your kids can decorate your home with ease!

The Inspiration Book will have a profound effect on the research process and when it comes to generating new ideas. There will be investigating, exploring, and researching! Through research we will be creating visual mood boards of inspirational images, colors, and patterns. We will be exploring silhouettes, shapes, and doing collages!
