Lots of exciting things happening in the garden! I’m hoping for a productive season. Still learning about timing, growing in clay, and managing for slugs and bindweed.

My first Pringstrose! (That’s German for peony) first one I planted here. Silly me I forgot to label it but I’m happy. I cut off the other flower buds to help it focus on root growth but left one for the thrill :)

I know rhododendrons are/can be invasive but these purple ones are gorgeous!

The SUN is shining after a prolonged bout of cold and gray and my little plants are loving it!

When you tell your hubs exactly what you’d like for Mothers Day and he even gets it for you! Here’s to hoping the subject matter interest makes the Deutsch a little more enticing.

I thought I had it easy with no opossums or raccoons, little did I know we have badgers in this area! I’m thrilled about that but not very excited that they made a wild mess of my poor dahlias that were coming along very nicely. So much for all that careful labeling too 😕. How does one keep badgers out of one’s pots?

These 6 Clematis came in the mail from Schmid Gartenpflanzen and I am thrilled! They look perfect! Cant wait to get them in the ground.
