THE KING IS COMING AGAIN
THE CALL OF A JOHN THE BAPTIST GENERATION
Isaiah 40:3-8

Good morning, everyone.

Our devotional today comes from Isaiah 40:3-8, which talks about the voice crying in the wilderness and the call to prepare a people for the coming of the Lord.

We live in a world that has been beaten down by sin and chaos, and it can be easy to lose sight of the hope we have in Christ. But Isaiah reminds us that the Lord is coming again, and that we have a responsibility to prepare ourselves and those around us for His arrival.

John the Baptist was a man who embodied this calling. He preached a message of repentance and urged people to turn their hearts towards God in preparation for the coming of the Messiah. He knew that to be ready for the arrival of the King, people needed to be actively seeking God and turning away from their sins.

As followers of Christ, we too must take up this call. We have a responsibility to be watchful, prayerful, and actively pursuing a relationship with God. We must turn away from the sins and temptations of this world and set our hearts and minds on things above.

And we must also be actively preparing those around us. We are called to be the voice crying in the wilderness- urging our friends, our family, and our communities to prepare their hearts for the coming of the Lord.

As we go about our day, let us remember that the King is coming again and that we have a role to play in preparing a people for His arrival. Let us be like John the Baptist, boldly proclaiming the truth of the Gospel and urging those around us to turn towards Christ.

May we be watchful, prayerful, and full of faith as we eagerly await the coming of our Lord.

Haggai 2:6-9
IN THIS REVIVAL - GOD WILL SHAKE NATIONS & CULTURES

Good evening, dear brothers and sisters. Tonight, let us reflect on the promise of God in Haggai 2:6-9. This verse describes a time of revival when God will shake the very foundation of nations and cultures, and the glory of Christ will cover the earth.

This is a powerful and awe-inspiring promise that should stir our hearts with anticipation and excitement. The thought of God shaking the foundations of nations and cultures may make us feel uneasy or even fearful, but we can take comfort in knowing that God is in control and that His plans are for our good.

In this time of revival, we need to have a steadfast heart, a heart that is rooted in Christ and not swayed by the shifting tides of this world. We need to be ready for an invasion of the glory of Christ, for a move of God that will transform us and our communities from the inside out.

But how can we prepare ourselves for such a move of God? We can start by surrendering our hearts to Him, by seeking His face and His will for our lives, and by obeying Him even when it is difficult. We can pray for our communities, asking God to shake the foundations of the structures and systems that hinder His work, and to bring about a revival that will transform us and those around us.

According to Haggai 2:6-9, during the time of revival on earth, God will shake the foundations of nations and cultures, and the glory of Christ will cover the earth. This speaks of a powerful move of God that will transform us and our communities from the inside out, bringing about a revival that will change the course of history.

During the time of revival on earth, the glory of Christ will cover the nations. This speaks of a spiritual awakening that will transform cultures and societies, bringing about a renewed reverence and awe for God. The glory of Christ will affect the nations by changing hearts and minds, bringing people to repentance and salvation. It will bring healing, joy, and peace to people and communities, and unite people under a common love for God and one another. In short, the glory of Christ will bring about a revolution of love and righteousness that will have a profound impact on the world.

As we go to sleep tonight, let us ask God to give us a steadfast heart that will persevere through the challenges and trials of this life. Let us ask Him to prepare us for an invasion of the glory of Christ that IS covering the earth, and to use us as instruments of His grace and love. May God bless us and guide us always. Amen.
