The word that stuck out for me at the hard hat tour of the soon-to-be site of New Village Academy is “Transformative”. As I walked through the building under construction, there is so much promise in the transformation that will happen there over the summer. And once it is built, I truly believe that it will be transformative for the students who get the chance to learn there. I’m so excited for the possibilities!

Congratulations to Ja’Marion, Noah, and Yocelin- 2026 graduates of Central Special School. This graduate got up during the ceremony and decided he preferred to sit on the stage. As Dr. Bedell said in his remarks, students should not have to change who they are to assimilate to us, but we should meet them right where they are and help them to Belong, Grow, and Succeed. Central Special embodies that. 💙

What a lovely night at the Southern and CAT-N FFA awards banquet. These students and their mentors are nothing short of amazing. It was an honor to be with them this evening.
