Tomorrow is Pentecost, and it’s easy to celebrate the big feast days while still missing why they matter so deeply.

Pentecost isn’t just about tongues of fire or a story that happened long ago. It’s about fear turning into courage, confusion turning into clarity, and ordinary people being transformed by the Holy Spirit.

That reminder feels especially important right now.

Spending time reflecting on Pentecost can reveal so much more than just the events of that day. It’s the birthday of the Church, the fulfillment of Christ’s promise, and a reminder that the same Holy Spirit given to the apostles is still at work today.

The work of the Holy Spirit is substantiated in the Bible. The gifts of the spirit are listed along with the fruits of the spirit.
