Rodgers Art Welcome to Rodgers Art by
Michelle Rodgers. Jewelry, drawings, pottery & more! As a young child I was always interested and drawn to patterns.

I went to Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD) and earned her BFA in Fine Arts with a focus in ceramics. I also attended Baldwin-Wallace College for her Teaching License to teach K-12 Art. My artwork is inspired by the art form called Zentangle®, using structured patterns. I had found Zentangle when she was looking for ideas to take into the classroom when subbing for a local school district.

When I was teaching Zentangle to the students she became very interested in the process in creating a Zentangle tile and started creating her own images using the principals of Zentangle. In October of 2011 I went to the creators of Zentangle to become a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT). Since then I have been teaching Zentangle to kids, adults and senior citizens all over Northeast Ohio. Traditionally Zentangle is done as a pen & ink drawing, which I had started out with. But at the time of discovering Zentangle I was a potter for over ten years. Zentangle has brought new life to my pottery. I'm currently working in both media’s. Zentangle’s method allows you to discover new possibilities that you might not have anticipated. Zentangle offers both a freedom and a challenge when creating your image.
