Science Hill's "Club of Clubs", the Student Government Association, met for the first time this school year and enjoyed a pizza lunch, thanks to Johnny Brusco's Piney Flats. 🍕

SGA is chaired by the senior class representative to the Johnson City Schools Board of Education, who is backed up by the junior class representative as vice president. Science Hill's clubs and organizations may each choose a delegate to sit on the SGA. Spots are still available for any organization that hasn't sent a representative!

Science Hill has more than 60 student-run clubs and organizations covering a variety of students' interests. If you can't find one that's right for you, start your own and invite your friends!

The 3-on-3 ETSU Army ROTC basketball tournament this week was a slam dunk for our JROTC Topper Battalion! 🏀⛹️‍♂️

Four Science Hill teams competed with cadets ranging from freshmen to seniors. They played hard, supported one another, demonstrated great sportsmanship, and represented Science Hill High School and Johnson City Schools well!

The SHHS JROTC cadets would like to give special thanks to LTC Jared Powell and the ETSU Army ROTC program for inviting them to participate and for making them feel welcome on campus. 🫡

Opportunities like this go beyond competition. They allow our cadets to connect with college ROTC students, experience the ETSU campus, and learn more about the opportunities available to them after high school. Our JROTC program looks forward to continuing to build a strong partnership with ETSU Army ROTC and creating even more opportunities for our cadets in the future!

Tomorrow is the first home football game of the season, and the Toppers are pulling out all the stoppers! 🏈🎩

Wear maroon and gold tomorrow to show your support, and meet us at the fieldhouse before the game for a community tailgate party! We'll have games, athletes and free Kona Ice for K-5 students. 🍧

Good luck to our Project SEARCH interns starting their program at the Johnson City Medical Center! Dani, Elijah, Haven and Abram — we know you'll do a great job and have a great time!

Project SEARCH is a international organization we're proud to host at Science Hill. Through internships with local partners, these students will learn basic and specialized job skills to prepare them for the future. Several of our Project SEARCH interns have found full-time employment while still in the program!

Hilltoppers are still killing it in AP classes!

According to the 2026 AP Report, out of the 731 Science Hill students who took 1,508 AP Exams, 578 scored at least one 3. That means potential college credit!

We also had 266 students named AP Scholars, including 117 who earned AP Scholar with Distinction, the most difficult level. To earn that rank, those students got an average score of 3.5 on their exams and scored 3 or higher on five or more exams!

The fees for AP Exams is covered by our school board, so all that college credit adds up to more than $1.5 million saved on college tuition!
