Dear Sean!

Happy 10 year anniversary! I blinked my eyes and it’s 10 years later! I can hardly believe it's already been a decade since we first started dating in high school. Two 16 years olds that knew nothing about love. Time really does fly when you're having fun.

I feel so lucky to have you as my high school sweetheart and now, my fiancé. We have to thank ask.fm (YKIYK)for reconnecting each other! I texted you anonymously and you hearted my picture, by then I knew you knew it was me. You have been my rock through thick and thin, and I am so grateful for your love, support, and companionship over the years.

We have celebrated birthdays together, prayed and fasted together, traveled together, supported each other as we received our degrees, held my hand as I delivered our baby girl. We partied, laughed, and lifted each other up. You have been by my side and I thank you!

As we celebrate this special milestone together, I want you to know how much you mean to me. You fill my life with joy, laughter, and endless love. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us and to spend the rest of my life with you.

What does a balance life look like to you?

Am I wrong if I want it all?!?

Yes, I want a husband and still hang out with my girls. I want to be a great mother and still pursue my dreams. I want to take care of my household and still focus on my self care. I want a professional career and still be lit on the weekends. I want to focus on my physical health and still enjoy trying new restaurants. I want bae cations and girls trips. I want to be classy and still shake my a**. I want to be professional with a little ratchet on the side. I want to pour me a glass of wine and still throw back some shots. I want to talk business with my friends and still gossip about life. I want to plan and still be okay if things don’t go as planned.

I want it all so please don’t put me in a box and think I’m Just one or the other. Please don’t look at my feed and think that’s my life. We probably have more in common than you think.

WE’RE BACK!!!

We took a much needed break and focused on coming back, bigger and better. Well what’s new?!?

I was offered a new position and moved into my office last week. Khaliyah is getting the hang of her numbers and colors. The 2022 planners are in production and we have a big collaboration with a brand in the DMV! I have been spending so much time with my family and tons of date nights.

At this point in my life my main priority is my happiness. As women we tend to put ourselves last but how can we, when we are the ones holding it all together. We are first and everything else follows.

Do you struggle with making decisions?

I’ve always been indecisive, especially when is comes to making decisions for myself. Some thing about choosing if I should stay at home and focus on my business full-time or work a 9-5 and focus on my business part-time doesn’t sit right with me especially because I have a community that has faith in me and what I can do to help other women.

I don’t know if it’s the Gemini or perfectionist in me. Being indecisive has caused me to have anxiety because I have fear in making the wrong decisions. Give me a task with instructions and it will be perfect but ask my opinion and my answer would probably be “IDK what do you think?”

Maybe creating a pros and consist with help before making a decision. If you are indecisive how do you come to a decision?

TODDLER MOMS

How are you all surviving?!?

As Khaliyah gets older she plays more and eats less. I remember when she was younger she would try and eat everything now I can probably count on one hand the things she will eat.

At this point I don’t know If she’s a picky eater or she’s just choosing not eat. One day she loves it and the next day she doesn’t want no parts.

SHE’S BACK

I took a well needed break, focusing on my education, family, and mental health. So, let me give you a little update on what’s going with the Busy Gurl. Finals were hectic but I graduated with my Masters in Social Work, finishing my last semester with a 4.0. I turned 24 and celebrated my birthday and my graduation in Arizona where I was taught a couple line dances, hiked the Grand Canyon (5 hours), rode ATVS, visited a botanical Garden, attended karaoke night at a gay club, & went on a Jeep tour. Khaliyah is getting so big, her vocabulary has grown and she is amazes me everyday!

Definitely ended May the right way. Now I’m
back to my regular schmegular schedule.
