🌌 November 2025 Sky Guide — A Month of Celestial Magic! ✨
This November, the night sky is putting on an unforgettable show — from a brilliant Supermoon to a sparkling meteor shower and even a close encounter with a comet! Here’s what you don’t want to miss 👇
🌕 November 5 — The Beaver Supermoon
The biggest and brightest full moon of 2025! As the Moon reaches its closest point to Earth, it will appear nearly 14% larger and 30% brighter. Look east after sunset and watch it rise in glowing golden hues.
☄️ November 8 — Comet Lemmon at Perihelion
Comet Lemmon will reach its closest distance to the Sun, glowing beautifully in the dawn sky. With binoculars or a small telescope, you might even catch its greenish coma and long glowing tail!
💫 November 17–18 — Leonid Meteor Shower Peak
Get ready for a celestial fireworks show! The Leonids — famous for their bright, fast meteors — will peak overnight, offering up to 20 meteors per hour. Best viewed after midnight under a dark, moonless sky.
🔵 November 21 — Uranus at Opposition
The distant ice giant reaches opposition, meaning it’s directly opposite the Sun and fully illuminated. With a telescope, you’ll spot its bluish-green disk glowing steadily in the constellation Aries.
✨ Tip for Skywatchers:
Find a dark area away from city lights, bring a blanket or chair, and let your eyes adjust to the darkness. This month’s celestial events are a perfect reminder of how wondrous — and alive — our universe truly is.
