Dyslexic individuals possess the capacity to think, lead, and achieve at the highest levels, and countless have gone on to accomplish extraordinary achievements across every field.

This is where real change begins‼️

Today preservice teachers at the University of Northern Colorado experienced a dyslexia simulation with the International Dyslexia Association – Rocky Mountain Branch.

Our quote of the day, "That was fun... in a haunted house kind of way!"

When future educators understand what reading struggles actually feel like, they teach differently, more intentionally and explicitly.

Our goal is simple: bring dyslexia awareness and structured literacy training to every teacher preparation program on every campus.

Hi everyone! Thank you for following my page. I see friends, family, colleagues, parents of students I've taught over the years, and even a few people I haven't seen/chatted with since English class in 2005. I am so grateful for your support as I open the doors to The Blue Butterfly Dyslexia Center.

I'm a Certified Academic Language Practitioner with a background in special education. I provide private dyslexia therapy using proven, research-based interventions including Scottish Rite programs (Take Flight, Jet, BUILD, and Rite Flight). These aren't just reading lessons. They're structured, multisensory interventions specifically designed to rewire how the brain processes language. I also offer literacy tutoring for any student who needs reading support.
