The key to solving this problem is using the formula: Time = Distance / Speed

Both trains are traveling towards each other, so their speeds add up. Combined, they cover 60 mph + 80 mph = 140 mph.

Now, we divide the total distance (300 miles) by the combined speed (140 mph):

Time = 300 miles / 140 mph

Time ≈ 2.14 hours

So, it will take approximately 2 hours and 8.6 minutes for the trains to meet! 🎉
