Silver Summit Academy currently has available space for students in grades 6–12 for the 2026/2027 school year! As a tuition-free public school, we provide a unique in-person schedule with small class sizes where no student goes unnoticed. Our teachers work right beside students to navigate a rigorous curriculum designed for their future success.

The Utah Lady Grizzlies are proud to congratulate Morgan Vesco on her commitment to continue her academic and hockey career at Roger Williams University!
Morgan has been playing hockey for the past 13 years and grew up in Park City, Utah. One of her favorite memories include when her 16U team won the MLK Winter Classic in Boston—a moment she’ll never forget.
She chose Roger Williams University because it’s a brand new program that she gets to help grow, the school has an amazing business program with study abroad options, and she has the possibility of continuing to sail. Her advice to the next generation: never take what you have for granted and enjoy the small moments.

We couldn’t be more proud—congratulations, Morgan! Best of luck as you take your game to the next level with the Hawks! 💙💛

Congratulations to Matt Greiner! The process of selecting the nominees to the 2026 Olympic team for USA Luge has ended. The team features a familiar face, Matt Greiner, and he is capable of competing at the highest levels at the biggest sporting event in the world.
Matt is a former student at Silver Summit Academy in the South Summit School District. The school is known for providing a tailored education experience to each student’s unique strengths, interests, and learning style. Moving beyond the constraints of traditional timetables, the school’s approach provides flexible time for personalized support, enrichment, and student leg initiatives. An experience that worked well for Matt during his high school days as a luge competitor.
Matt Greiner (Park City, UT) Event: men’s singles 2026 will mark the first Olympics for Matt. After a successful career as a Junior, including two Junior World Championship medals, Matt jumped up to the National team last season and has been adjusting well to his new environment. His highlight of the season thus far was his career-best 15th place finish in Winterberg, Germany, which clinched him an Olympic nomination.

Connor Goecke entered the “What Democracy Means to Me” Speech and Essay Competition through his local VFW Post. Last night, he received a call inviting him to attend their meeting this evening, where the contestants would be recognized.

During a beautiful dinner and ceremony, the Post Commander awarded Connor 1st place out of all the entries submitted at his post. He received a certificate and a gift card, which was a wonderful honor.

At the end of the evening, they announced the District Winner from among all the local post winners — and Connor won the largest award of the night. He now advances to the state-level competition, where he will compete against the other five district winners. If he advances to Nationals, he could win a $35,000 scholarship.
