Do you believe your clients can achieve what they want?
That belief (or lack of it) shows up in your teaching.

Steady belief in your clients, especially when they are learning, is a game changer.

It is like extra traction when you’re car is stuck in the snow or mud.

Your belief in your clients while they are learning takes them places.

I believe in each of my unique, cool clients. It’s one of the many things I do because coaching and teaching is about what each of them needs and not what I have to say.

What’s the one thing you want your clients to remember from your lesson?

Make it the first and last thing you say.

When we are having a conversation, listening to a podcast, or learning from our coach our brains will remember the beginning and ending. The middle might be foggy.

It’s like trying to recall the grocery list you forgot on the counter—you’ll probably remember the first few and last couple of items but not everything in between.

Or think about writing an essay, article, or book. We put the ideas we want remembered in the first or last sentences of our paragraphs.

As coaches, we can arrange our content in ways to best helps clients remember the big takeaways.

There are many ways to purposefully arrange how we present information to increase the effectiveness of our communication.

What do you know about your clients for sure?

They have the ability to learn, and they are open to learning with you.

Your clients’ potential to learn is unknown. So is yours.

We have no idea what they’ll learn or how much they’ll learn, and that’s not for you to decide.

When clients come to you they are including you in their learning journey. It is a very special relationship.

Be as open to learning from them as you hope they’ll be to learning from you.

That honesty in your teaching relationship creates a safe space to share and learn together.
