💡 Tip of the Week: Pump placement matters! Keep the infusion pump positioned at the level of the patient’s heart to support accurate infusion delivery and help reduce unnecessary alarms. As outlined in the Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice, 9th ed., Standard 23: Flow-Control Devices, evidence-based recommendations include attention to pump/infusate height as part of safe pump use and alarm management.
