So I worked for great clips for 8 months.
And I loved my time there. Don’t get me wrong.

But these two products?
Were my hands down favorite.

Red bottle -
Both of my littles are VERY tinder headed. And this leave in.? Is just. Wonderful. If her hairs dry I’ll spritz this in then spray some water over it. Like BUTTER! The smell. Is also. A bonus.

Green bottle -
This is a primer quick dry. I know it helps dry hair quicker and smells. Amazing. And leave the hair soft.
Did I mention? It smells good?
I’ve also tested this on my hair? And it’s the same result.

I’ve always been the one who does the drastic changes to my hair.
I like to be all over black then platinum the next day.
My hair dressers over the years have been worried about the integrity of my hair. So I quit going to someone and started doing my own.
In cosmetology school I learned all the whys.
This picture demonstrates
—— Multiple retouches of level 4 & 5 of brown.
If I would have done level 1 - black. It would be 10x worse.
—— Why it’s so important to keep all over blondes in the salon every 4-6 weeks.
Because if you don’t the banding is crazy and it turns into a color correction. Because we can’t apply bleach to everything over again. We have to touch all the dark and leave alone all the light. Or we risk breakage and damage.
—— Just because you want to be the darkest of darks. Doesn’t mean you have to do black. And some people may know a level 1 is the darkest. But I’ve come to learn. There is other dark colors that match pretty closely without having to be permanent black.
I never will shame anyone for “kitchen sink hair” even as a professional and licensed I’ve done “kitchen sink hair” because I didn’t have the money to go to another professional or I liked doing it in the comfort of my own home. Or I was too depressed to make it to even get in my car. Times are tough and in this economy sometimes hair is the last thing on our list.
I as a stylist plan to always be budget friendly offer tips and tricks. And teaching you about how to take better care of your hair. Budget or not. I wanna be able to be the stylist you never fill guilty for coming in with black box die. Or chopped hair from cutting your own hair.
