The Heart Laid Bare

Every depth and chamber of man is known by Yahweh, and He knows every thought, attitude, and motive of man. The heart lies open and exposed to its Creator; just as the Potter knows the vessel He molded, God thoroughly knows and understands—fully and completely—all inhabitants of this earth.

Jeremiah tells us in Jeremiah 17:9-10, the heart is the most deceitful thing, and it is incurable. It is so deceptive that it deceives itself. There is no human remedy to cure it. The heart's condition is terminal; it is sentenced to death, eternal condemnation. Yahweh declares He is the One who searches every thought, attitude, and motive, and He alone can repay each person according to what their life and deeds actually are.

The Potter is also the competent Physician for the terminal heart. Only He can fully know and understand the heart; He is the only one who can fully diagnose the heart and cure it. This was accomplished through the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

For the Believer — Comfort

As a believer, this should bring us comfort. Having been set free from the authority sin had upon us, we are no longer obligated to our flesh, so we can put to death the deeds of the flesh and follow Christ. God's light shining in our heart tells us that we are known and loved. God disciplines those whom He loves. Whatever motive and intention that rages against God is exposed in a spirit of gentleness—not to condemn us, but to sanctify us. We will experience victory as we are conformed to the image of Jesus Christ.

For the Unbeliever — A Summons

For the unbeliever, God made you also. You are fully known and seen by God; nothing is hidden from His sight. The light God is shining in your heart is to indict you and expose how incurable your heart is. Each one of us will be judged by Jesus for every thought, attitude, and motive. There is no escaping judgment. Do not run from the light because you love your sin. Repent from your sin, believe in Jesus Christ, be forgiven and set free from your sin, so that you may have eternal life with Jesus Christ.

Let today be the day of salvation; life is a v***r and tomorrow is not promised. Don't waste another minute. If you feel the weight of your sin upon your life, talk to God about it. It would be tragic if you were to die today not knowing Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, because the sentence of the terminal heart is eternal condemnation. Accept the competent Physician's cure: repent from your sins, believe in Jesus Christ, follow Christ with your life.

If I allow the challenges, God allots in my life to do the work in me that God intends to do; I will be made whole and well in all my inner parts; my mind, emotions and will. (Soul) I will be made mature from going through the necessary stages to reach the finish God has for me. Patience, endurance, and long suffering are a character of God that I can posses. If I allow God’s character to be produced in me during the various trials in my life, the work God does in me as I endure through the trial will make me sound, whole, and complete. I will be better to discern God‘s perfect will, and it is not even a possibility to fall short of anything in my life.

It is patience that does the work in the challenges God allots in our life. God is good and works all things together for those that love Him. (Romans 8:28)

Did you hear the majestic roll of thunder last night Panama City, Florida?

BY FAITH NOT BY SIGHT

It is important not to let ourselves be deceived by the things you witness in your life that comes against the Promises of God. We are to believe God and keep faith in God’s sovereign will and faithfulness.

If we are being persuaded by the happenings of the world in our lives that contradict God’s will and promise towards us and we believe them to be true, then we as Christians are not walking in the fullness of belief in Our God. Through training our eyes to be fixed on Jesus Christ, we must seek out the darkness we have come in agreement with and allow the truth and knowledge of Jesus Christ to be glorified in that moment. We must identify the unbelief of God we are holding onto and acknowledge the belief we have in the deception in front of us causing us to turn away from our faith and Our Lord, Our God Almighty, King Jesus Christ.

Only through the identification of our unbelief can we humble ourselves to the Lord, asking for forgiveness and repent for our lack of belief as we acknowledge where we have allowed ourselves to be slaves again and yoked back into bo***ge of the world.

The word faith in Greek is pistis, a noun, and means to be persuaded by God. We identify as a people who are persuaded by God when we have faith. But God is a gentleman and will not force you to be persuaded by Him. He is a God of Honor. Satan uses deception to persuade us from the truth.

With God, we choose to believe Him and with the Satan we allow ourselves to be deceived. The word “to believe, or entrust” in Greek is pisteuó, a verb, and it means to persuade oneself to allow agreement with persuasion of another.

If you find yourself persuaded to believe what is in your natural vision and it is coming against the will and promise of God in your life, I would like to encourage you to pause and examine with the Lord where in your walk you have allowed yourself to be persuaded by deception. Once the identification of deception is made you can take it to God in repentance and pray then seek scripture for truth so you may turn your walk toward the narrow path which is the way, the truth and the life or Our Lord, Jesus Christ.

May the Lord lead you in all truths and all paths of righteousness for His name sake. In Jesus Christ Name. Amen
