This week, I'm proud to join healthcare professionals around the world in celebrating World Breastfeeding Week (WBW)—a global campaign led by WABA in collaboration with WHO and UNICEF.
✨ 2026 Theme: "Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life: Strengthen What Works."
This year's theme highlights the importance of strengthening the proven support systems that help families achieve their breastfeeding goals. It reminds us that successful breastfeeding isn't just about one person—it's about creating a strong Warm Chain of Support through healthcare, workplaces, families, and our communities.
As a Lactation Consultant, I'm honored to support mothers and babies during one of the most important journeys of their lives. Every family deserves compassionate, evidence-based care and encouragement, whether they breastfeed for days, months, or years. Our role isn't to make decisions for families—it's to provide the education, support, and resources they need to meet their goals.
Together, we can help give every baby the healthiest possible start and ensure no family has to navigate their breastfeeding journey alone. 💙🤱
