Let's talk about creating habits! ✨

Creating new habits can be really hard, so it's best to start super small. Here's a quick tip to get the ball rolling! 👇

Research has shown that we are more likely to stick to a habit when there is a trigger reminding us to do them. When I wake up in the morning, it’s part of my habit to brush my teeth right as I roll out of bed. The trigger is me waking up, the action is brushing my teeth.

Let’s say I want to start drinking a big glass of water before I have my coffee; to create this habit, I should put the glass next to the coffee machine so that it can act as my trigger for the water. ⚡

When you can piggyback the new habit onto an old habit, it has a higher chance of sticking.

With work, we can start to implement little habits that will help us be more productive. 💪

This is your reminder that scheduling time for REST is just as important as the hustle! 💪

It’s important to book downtime and take days off! I can’t emphasize this enough!

If you are not taking a day off from work right now, I want you to stop and ask yourself why. 🤔

Why do you feel you have to work 7 days per week? I promise that your business will not disappear if you take a day to rest.

For this process, I like to start by asking myself which days I want to rest. For me, usually, Sunday is a rest day and Monday is mom day.

WHY do I want to have abundance in my life?
WHY do I want to own a business?
WHY do I want to be my own boss?

For me, my most motivating WHY is being able to pass financial freedom onto my children and set the example that they can be artists, creatives, and entrepreneurs and still make money. ♥

That WHY drives me to manifest the crap out of my life because the thought of setting them up with a financial foundation makes me feel so happy and peaceful. 🌱

My WHY is also about giving back to the world and sharing a piece of my heart with others. For me, this motivated me to put in the many many hours it took to create this course; the idea that this could help change someone’s life really fires me up and feeds my soul. 💪

Let's talk investing! ⚡

For the first few years of my business, I would look at what I made for the year and ask myself where all the money went.

It seemed to disappear into thin air because I never really knew how to manage it. 🤔 It wasn’t until I hired a financial advisor that this easy plan started to develop and now I share it with anyone who will listen.

As self-employed people, it’s really important to have a retirement savings account.

Unless you also have a full-time job with benefits, I would suggest you open this ASAP. ✨

Let's talk: clearing digital clutter. ✨

We are surrounded by technology pretty much 24/7 these days. It’s really important for us to clear some mental space around digital consumption so we avoid burnout and all the negative effects associated with too much screen time. 🌱

Every so often, I like to run a scan on my hard drive to see which files are taking up the most storage and go through to delete a bunch of old things that don’t need to be there.

Creating space on your desktop and on your computer will help create mental space too. 🧠
