It’s been fun learning about local history as I take on new design projects. The Palmer water tower is an iconic landmark dating back to 1935 when 200 farming families were brought to Alaska from the Midwest to colonize the area. A rich land with a rich history. 🌳

There were multiple times today where I needed to just stop and take a few deep breaths. The to-do list seemed too long. Business tasks were piling up too fast. The toddler needed extra love. In reality, it didn’t all have to happen today…but my brain needed help seeing that. 😮‍💨

What are some ways you find helpful to refocus and shift your perspective? 💛

I was dying to open my new shipment of cards after picking them up…and my son falling asleep on the ride home gave me the perfect opportunity to sneak a peak! 🤗 I am SO EXCITED about my new cards featuring the famous Palmer water tower landmark. I’m proud to be a small business owner in Palmer, and while I love drawing scenes from all over Alaska, it was fun to draw one closer to home.💛
