Congratulations to Dr. Jamin Burton of Colony High School on being named the 2027 Alaska State Teacher of the Year.

Jamin could not be more deserving of this recognition. He consistently goes above and beyond for students, building meaningful relationships and creating opportunities that make a lasting impact. His dedication to student success, both inside and outside the classroom, reflects the very best of education in Alaska.

We are proud to have Dr. Burton representing the Mat-Su Borough School District and the state of Alaska.
