3 Gentle Strategies to Unwind After Work

After a long day, your body doesn't need more pressure — it needs permission to soften.
Here are three simple practices to help you decompress, reset, and come home to yourself:

✨ 1. The “Digital Sunset”

Before you do anything else, silence notifications for 20 minutes.
Dim the lights, light a candle, and let your nervous system shift from doing to being.
This small pause tells your body:
“You’re safe now. You can relax.”

✨ 2. The Warm Release

Warmth melts tension held in your muscles and in your emotions.
Take a warm shower, place a heat pack on your chest, or soak your feet in warm water.
Feel the heat dissolving the weight of the day — slowly, gently.

✨ 3. Breath of Relief

Place one hand on your heart and one on your belly.
Inhale for 4… exhale for 6.
Repeat 8 times.
Long exhalations signal your parasympathetic system to calm, soften, and slow down.
