At 5:30 A.M. on July 17, 2020, Dr. Brenda's daughter Teral called:
“Ma, Tyler's gone.”
Her son, Tyler Randolph Eugene Williams, had been murdered. His murder remains unsolved.
Suddenly, Dr. Brenda and Supt. Dr. Will Chambliss weren't the pastors helping another family through tragedy.
They were the family.
Their search for help exposed a void in culturally responsive grief support for families dealing with murder, su***de and tragic loss—and gave decades of ministry and media experience a deeply personal new assignment.
Out of that journey came Step By Step Tragic Death Grief Support Ministry and a growing response of:
